Happy January!

I just want to start by wishing you a Happy New Year! May 2023 be full of magic and bring you everything you want and more! Sticking with the new start you will have seen on All Things Gee so far this January, I thought I would share 25 facts that you may not know about me.

1. I have an undergraduate degree in Tourism Management. In 2017, I took a leap and went to uni to study Tourism Management. My 3 years of undergraduate experience were full of highs and lows. The universe said, ” Hey, we are going to switch things up for you. However, I am so so grateful for this experience without it I would not have met some of the most incredible people in my life.

2. I have a masters in International Events Management. In 2020 we obviously got thrown head-first into a pandemic, my dumbass however decided to also throw myself head-first into a master’s degree. Would I have done things a little differently? Looking back on it now, yes but am I happy I did it yes, yes I am. Without it, I would not have spent a whole year in my favourite place in the world.

3. Friends, New Girl, Gossip Girl, and The Vampire Diaries are my comfort shows. It is probably unhealthy the number of times I have watched these shows.

4. I have 5 nephews and a niece. I am incredibly lucky.

5. The first “proper” book I ever read and remember reading in full was Anne of Green Gables. It’s also the first book I ever remember my dad buying me.

6. I read. A lot. I have even decided to jump on the GoodReads challenge this year by aiming to read 100 books in 2023. Ambitious? Maybe. Determined? Always.

7. I am a Gemini. Yes, this is all.

8. Brighton (in the UK) is one of my favourite places ever, literally one of my happy places. I could spend a lifetime exploring the little lanes and quirky shops.

9. I love movies and Tv shows! There is nothing better than a cosy night watching a movie or a show. However, if it is based on a book, I have to read the book first!

10. I have a full-time job and work 9-5.30, 5 days a week. All Things Gee and writing are my favourite ways to escape after work when I have the opportunity.

11. I love reading and often cannot get on with audiobooks and often will end up listening to a podcast instead. I am currently listening to the Go Love Yourself podcast and I mean listening to it for the first time from the beginning.

12. I am obsessed with the colour Emerald Green. It is highly likely that if I am not dressed in black I’m dressed in Emerald Green.

13. From 2017- 2021 ish I dyed my hair basically every colour you can think of. It has been a while since I dyed my hair. (2023 Pending… maybe).

14. If I could watch a different theatre show once a week, I would. I have a slight theatre obsession.

15. I have moved home a lot since 2017. I have learnt the kinds of places I would not like to live (too quiet) and where I would love to live if I ever got the opportunity.

16. I would love to write and publish a book, multiple books.

17. I am summer, baby (June) to be exact, but my favourite seasons are autumn/winter. Halloween and Christmas! Obviously!

18. My favourite subjects in school used to be English and Drama. (8 years later, I still have a good relationship with my old drama teacher and life-long favourite person.)

19. All Things Gee started back in 2019. (with a small update now)

20. I have an unexplainable phobia of Racoons.

21. I have a huge soft spot for Classic Novels.

22. One of my goals for this year is to travel to more bookish locations.

23. This year I want to journal more and commit to reading and implementing more Self-Improvement work.

24. I would love to take another master’s in Journalism, English Literature, Public Relations and Communications.

25. I love tea and the different flavours of tea. (Bird and Blend are some of my favourites).
