Happy March!
We are back with another book review and one of the 19 books read in 2023 so far.
I am super excited for this post and the next few post coming. It is good to finally be taking moments to write and review.

Synopsis:
A gym nemesis pushes a fitness influencer to the max in Amy Lea’s steamy debut romantic comedy.
Curvy fitness influencer Crystal Chen built her career shattering gym stereotypes and mostly ignoring the trolls. After her recent breakup, she has little stamina left for men, instead finding solace in the gym – her place of power and positivity.
Enter firefighter Scott Ritchie, the smug new gym patron who routinely steals her favorite squat rack. Sparks fly as these ultra-competitive foes battle for gym domination. But after a series of escalating jabs, the last thing they expect is to run into each other at their grandparents’ engagement party.
In the lead up to their grandparents’ wedding, Crystal discovers there’s a soft heart under Scott’s muscled exterior. Bonding over family, fitness, and cheesy pick-up lines, she just might have found her swolemate. But when a photo of them goes viral, savage internet trolls put their budding relationship to the ultimate test of strength.
My Opinions:
There is a lot of random things I want to mention about this book but in all honesty I have no idea where to start.
Reading this book is probably as close to a gym as I am getting, ngl they make me nervous. Too many people for my liking. Therefore reading this book is the same thing. I will hear nothing different.
This story however has me almost considering attending a Gym especially if we get to meet people like Scott. Oh how we are adding Scott to the book boyfriend list. Yes this list is now incredibly long but hey.
Okay one of the things I love about this book is that the main woman is a curvy woman. We are here for a curvy lead. Not only a curvy lead but a curvy lead that has the attraction of a beautiful man without there being any shame in the way she carries herself.
I very much love an enemies to lovers troupe and this book gives this and more. I am more than okay with their relationship jumping from enemies to lovers especially when Scott and Crystal have an intense banter than I love.
Crystal whole heartedly has my heart, she is an inspiration and also a whole lot of motivation. I love that this story makes a whole point of it being a self-love and acceptance. Despite not being shy and hiding from her insecurities. This makes a change from the usual skipping of these issues.
Scott… Oh Scott we have a whole lot to discuss but with the chance of spoliers I do not want to get involved with going through the whole story. However it really is hate at first sight at least that’s how it comes across when he steals the equipment she is working on. However there is something about Scott that is incredibly charming and frustrating all at the same time.
The story of the grandparents really pulled some serious heart strings and I very much need to hug them tight and thank them for the warmth they filled my heart with.
Star Rating:
Have you read set on you?
Love Always,
Gee xoxo
