Happy September!!
It is officially (in my book) cosy season and what better way to jump back into blogging than by a book tour review.
As always it is with my favourite The Write Reads. Incredibly grateful for both The Write Reads and Neem Tree for having me on this tour. Of course also a huge thank you to Angela for trusting us to read this amazing book.

Synopsis:
Roll up, roll up, the Scareground is in town!
Twelve-year-old Nancy Crumpet lives above a bakery and her life is a delightful mix of flour, salt, and love. Yet her mind is brimming with questions no one can answer: Why did her birth parents disappear? Why can she speak with the sky? And why must she keep her mysterious birthmark hidden?
Everything is about to change when the Scareground returns to Greenwich. Nancy is convinced it holds the answers to her parents’ disappearance. Nancy and her best friend Arthur Green meet the fair’s spooky owner, Skelter, and discover a world full of dark magic and mystery. Nancy must confront her greatest fears to get to the truth. But is she ready for all the secrets the Scareground will reveal?

My Thoughts:
“Scareground” by Angela Kecojevic is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and thrills! From the very first page, I was drawn into a world of suspense and excitement that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book.
Angela’s storytelling is impeccable, weaving a narrative that is both captivating and spine-tingling. The way she describes the eerie settings and the mysterious characters makes you feel like you’re right there in the midst of the action. Her attention to detail is truly impressive, and it adds an extra layer of realism to the story.
But what truly sets “Scareground” apart is the depth of its characters. Angela has created a cast of relatable and complex individuals, each with their own secrets and motives. I found myself rooting for some and suspecting others, which made the story all the more engrossing.
The pacing of the plot is one of my favourite parts, with twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. Just when you think you have it all figured out, Angela throws in another curveball that leaves you breathless. It’s a thrilling ride that you won’t want to get off.
I couldn’t put “Scareground” down, and I devoured it in all of a couple days. It’s a page-turner in every sense of the word. If you’re a fan of suspense, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural, this book is a must-read.
