Hello My Loves,
Valentine’s Day is upon us again!
While lovebirds are busy planning romantic escapades, who says us singles can’t have their share of the fun?

This year, let’s flip the script and transform Valentine’s Day into the ultimate self-care night. After all, self-love is the most enduring love affair you’ll ever experience. So, if you’re riding solo this Valentine’s, get ready to pamper yourself with an evening of relaxation, indulgence, and a whole lot of me-time.
Here’s your ultimate guide to crafting the perfect self-care night in!
1. Set the Mood with Aromatic Ambiance
First things first, let’s set the scene.
Create a cozy and calming ambiance by lighting some scented candles or diffusing your favorite essential oils. Lavender, chamomile, and ylang-ylang are known for their relaxing properties—perfect for unwinding. The soft, flickering candlelight and soothing scents will instantly make your space feel like a sanctuary.
I am a sucker for anything Lavender scented and any excuse to fill my room with lavender I will take. I used to have a bunch of dried lavender in my room, however it didn’t quite make the move without it falling apart.

2. DIY Spa Treatments
You don’t need a fancy spa reservation to enjoy some pampering. Here are a few simple yet luxurious treatments you can do right at home:
- Face Masks: Whip up a homemade face mask with ingredients like honey, avocado, or oatmeal for a nourishing treat. or you know if you are like me and the idea of making your own freaks you out a store bought one will do the same thing.
- Bubble Bath: Draw a warm bubble bath, add some Epsom salts, and a few drops of essential oil. Soak away the stresses of daily life.
- Self-Massage: Use a body oil or lotion to give yourself a gentle massage. Focus on areas that hold tension, like your shoulders, neck, and feet.

3. Cinema Therapy
Now, what’s a cozy night in without a movie marathon? Whether you’re in the mood for laugh-out-loud comedies, inspiring dramas, or classic rom-coms that celebrate self-discovery and independence, there’s no shortage of films to keep you entertained. Make a list of your favorites or check out streaming platforms for curated “self-love” collections.

For me it sounds like the perfect time to start rewatching the Marvel movies… No comment.
4. Indulge in Comfort Food
Cooking can be a therapeutic activity, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some gourmet indulgence. Here are a couple of ideas:
- Decadent Chocolate Desserts: Chocolate and Valentine’s Day go hand in hand. Try your hand at making chocolate truffles, a lava cake, or simply enjoy your favorite chocolate bar.
- Heartwarming Meal: Cook a dish that feels like a hug in a bowl. Think along the lines of creamy pasta, a luxurious risotto, or your favorite comfort food.

5. Craft a Love Letter to Yourself
In the spirit of self-love, end your night by writing a love letter to yourself. Reflect on your achievements, your growth, and what you love about yourself. It’s a powerful exercise in self-compassion and a beautiful reminder of your worth.
For me this seems a little too much for my brain but I will be journalling instead, a little gratitude and self love never hurt anyone.

6. Unplug and Unwind
Make a conscious effort to disconnect from your digital devices. Social media can wait. This night is all about connecting with yourself on a deeper level. Whether it’s through meditation, reading a book, or simply sitting in silence, give yourself the gift of undisturbed tranquility.
I in fact picked up a book today specifically for this. I picked up a copy of ‘You Do You by Sarah Knight’ as my book to read over the next couple days because if this is not the perfect time to embrace being true to yourself.

This Valentine’s Day, embrace the joy of your own company and remember: being single is not about being alone; it’s an opportunity to deepen the most important relationship in your life—the one with yourself.
So, light those candles, draw that bath, and let the self-love fest begin.
Happy Valentine’s Self-Care Night!
How are you celebrating?
Love Always,
Gee xoxo
